UEFA has met with representatives of supporters' groups at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, working together with fans for the overall benefit of the game.

UEFA was represented at the annual meeting by President Michel Platini, adviser to the UEFA President William Gaillard and members of the UEFA administration. Supporters' groups were represented by Football Supporters Europe (FSE), Supporters Direct Europe (SD), and the Centre for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE) – all of whom receive specific UEFA backing and recognition.

"Our work together is very positive but we always know that we can do better," Mr Platini said in his opening address. "It's a really important meeting for us in order to develop solutions to the problems we face in football. I'm a supporter too, and this is vital to the greater football family."

The supporters' groups presented their ongoing progress as well as future projects. Matters of fan liaison, club licensing, access to UEFA EURO 2016 stadiums and disciplinary issues were among the items on the agenda, and the groups proposed various measures for improvement.

UEFA thanked the groups for their work in understanding and relaying the opinions, needs and concerns of European football supporters and assured them of a continuing commitment to working in partnership in order to provide due care and attention to the sport's future.
