The dialogue between UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA) will be further strengthened through a joint workshop next month, which will look at legal developments in European football.

The ECA-UEFA gathering at Marseille’s Stade Vélodrome on 8 and 9 June is being organised exclusively for ECA member clubs and representatives.

Topics on the agenda will include the UEFA disciplinary regulations, the FIFA regulations on the status and transfer of players, and case law of the Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The workshop will examine the campaign against match-fixing in football, key pitfalls faced by clubs over commercial contracts, and the financing of transfers.

Selected legal experts representing UEFA, the ECA and clubs will update participants on current trends, and share opinions on how they view the progress of European football’s legal framework.
